Electronics Technician I


This position is for candidates that have an Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Military Equivalent and may have 0-2 years of relevant work experience. The candidate must be able to comprehend electronic schematics, use a multitude of test equipment, be able to solder and de-solder a variety of components, be able to troubleshoot failures using education and experience, be customer focused and emphasize quality workmanship, and work well within a team environment. The candidate should also have an excellent attendance record and be able to maintain a desirable work ethic.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and test of customer equipment. 

Technician must be proficient in:

•             Comprehending electronic schematics.

•             Setting up and using Test Equipment such as a Power Supply, DVM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc…

•             Troubleshooting failures using education, equipment, and experience.

•             Soldering and de-soldering electronic components of various types.

•             Repairing, calibrating, and testing customer equipment with emphasis on quality of workmanship.

•             Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a supervisor may require of the employee.

Education Requirements:

 Associate’s Degree equivalent or higher

Experience Requirements:

Employee must have a technical background, but may start in this position with little to no experience required.

Skill Requirements:

Employee must demonstrate basic electronic ability, knowledge, and aptitude.
