AR Specialist & Bookkeeper, Administration, Finance Job Opening
Odyssey Technical Solutions is a state-of-the-art Repair Facility located in Round Rock, Texas that specializes in RF Generators, AutoMatch Networks, DC Power Supplies, Remote Plasma Systems, and Microwave Generators/Power Supplies. We celebrated our 21-year anniversary in August 2021 and have moved into our new Round Rock Headquarters July 2016.
Responsibilities include recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process. Verifying those transactions and documenting transactions in the correct day book, customer account and billing. This position is also responsible for tracking and processing payroll, and reconciling credit card accounts. Prepares data and reports to Chief Financial Officer weekly, monthly and annually.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Employee must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and analytical skills, be self-motivated, and be equally at home working alone and within a team environment. Employee must have a high, quality work ethic and aptitude. Computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software is a must to be successful in this position.
Employee must be proficient in:
- Entering customer invoices and monitoring accounts receivable for timely customer payments
- Preparing online customer invoices, as required by customer.
- Entering credit card receipts and expense reports associated with credit card account reconciliations and monitoring.
- Assisting in payroll tasks, including payroll, commissions and benefit liabilities.
- Must check mail daily and distribute or scan as required.
- Must do bank deposits electronically or face to face daily.
- Consolidate both digital and physical transactions into a central system.
- Utilizing computer software such as Microsoft Office, PDF and NetSuite.
- Communicating technically to any level verbally, electronically, and in writing as required.
- Motivating oneself to achieve results without constant supervision and to constantly analyze internal operations in an effort to improve company performance.
- Must be professional and maintain discretion and privacy at all times when dealing with sensitive company details and customer information.
- Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a supervisor may require of the employee.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting.
- At least 5 years of relevant bookkeeping or directly related experience. 5 years experience in Accounts Receivable, Payroll accounting, reconciliations, customer service, prioritization, exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
- Must have a valid driver’s license by date of hire.
